Illegal logging is devastating the rainforests, which are referred to as the lungs of the Earth and supply 28% of the world's oxygen. Without the trees in the rainforest, there is more carbon in the atmosphere.

Rainforests are highly complex ecosystems and home to 75% of the world's species.

The rainforest is one of the biggest and most important living stores of carbon on the planet through its ability to convert atmospheric carbon dioxide into solid carbon and keeping it locked in the tree trunks for centuries. At the current rate of deforestation, three quarters of the Amazon will be depleted by 2030. Cooltribe believes that by restoring vast areas of rainforest, it is possible to recapture carbon at a significant rate whilst protecting biodiversity and supporting local communities by providing them decent work.

Cooltribe has decided to take tangible action and for every new member that joins and completes his/her full profile, Cooltribe will plant 1 tree in the rainforest and the member will get a full certificate in his/her name to prove it.

HOW TO GET YOUR TREE PLANTED TO SUPPORT REFORESTATION

Existing members will need to ensure that their profile is fully completed in order for 1 tree to be planted on their behalf. We will attempt for immediate certificate delivery but depending on the response, there might be an up to 2 months delivery time on the certificate, please bear with us.

Our efforts will only make difference if taken on a large scale so with you, we aim to plant 1 million trees which on average will absorb during the trees lifetime 1 million tonns of Co2, the equivalent to 3,300 acres of rainforest.
